About the position
In the position of Data Engineer you are responsible for building innovative analytical models that improve the quality inspection parts of our machines. Various fields (illumination, machine learning, backend structuring and operator interaction) must be combined to make sure the analysis brings our customers to a higher level.
Of course, as a Data Engineer at Luo you can combine available data, your knowledge of data analytics and existing modules to great solutions. More unique is that you have the opportunity to decide which data is gathered at costumers, which sustainable approaches are chosen and how mechanical parts of the machine support the data analytics as good as possible!

Besides designing innovative and safe machines, we want to support the operator by developing a user-friendly and easy-to-operate device.
This project will focus on a machine that automates the visual inspection of medical containers such as syringes. At the moment, the inspection for impurities and damages to the container is done manually. We are developing a machine that automates this process, greatly increasing the efficiency of small-scale producers.
About the function
In this graduation project you will get the unique opportunity to gain knowledge on the cutting edge of engineering and pharmaceutical practices, whilst working in a young and ambitious start-up.
As full-time member of our team, you will be interacting with our clients, software developers and hardware engineers to improve the overall user interaction of a table-top machine. This machine will be used in a regulated cleanroom environment, thus specific challenges such as hygienic design, protective clothing and covers play a major part in the design process. Furthermore, the average user should be able to fully operate the device with minimal training, thus the human-machine interaction has to be intuitive and easy to understand.
